Our Arab region, and the Middle East in general, is going through a dangerous phase of deteriorating conditions and the escalation of tensions, conflicts and major challenges, which have become a threat to regional and international peace and security, and constitute obstacles to achieving progress, development and prosperity for our countries and peoples..

In light of these conditions, the need emerges, more than ever, for the importance of emphasizing the necessity of strengthening joint Arab action and solidarity to confront these challenges through integrated efforts, regionally and internationally, to end extremism, tension, and escalating violence in the region, strengthen bridges of communication, and activate the role of diplomacy. Dialogue in resolving differences, strengthening the rules and authority of the national Arab state, strengthening its legitimate institutions, and focusing on spreading stability and achieving development and prosperity..

In this context, the United Arab Emirates affirms its continued support for the good efforts to achieve peace, stability and prosperity for our Arab peoples, as it is the ideal approach towards a prosperous future for the peoples of the region. We are in dire need of working for a more beautiful and better tomorrow and future that future generations will enjoy, within An open regional and international framework, based on the rules of international law, and a solid network of regional and international relations for joint cooperation and sustainable partnerships, to overcome challenges and confront existing threats..

The United Arab Emirates is always looking to the future and believes that the coming period requires focusing on dialogue and cooperation and strengthening bridges of communication to develop innovative and lasting solutions to the challenges of the times. We also reaffirm the importance of adhering to the principles and rules of international law, the Charter of the United Nations and international legitimacy, multilateral action, respecting the principle of settling international disputes by peaceful means, respecting the sovereignty and independence of states and non-interference in their internal affairs. Hence, we renew our call on Iran to respond positively to our repeated calls for a peaceful solution to the issue of the three occupied UAE islands, Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa, through direct negotiations or resorting to the International Court of Justice..

In the face of the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, we have repeatedly stressed that the priority at this stage lies in unifying and intensifying international efforts to protect all civilians and preserve their lives, in accordance with international law and international humanitarian law, and to ensure the provision and access of necessary humanitarian and relief aid in sufficient quantities to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip in a manner Safe, urgent, sustainable and unhindered, by land, sea and air. We also stressed the need to intensify collective action and joint efforts to put an end to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, achieve an immediate ceasefire, and avoid expanding the conflict, warning of the dangerous repercussions of any Israeli military operations in Rafah. We affirm our position in support of and calling for a just, lasting and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution, and within the framework of a political horizon that adopts a clear, transparent and binding road map that leads to the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state living in security, stability and a free and dignified life for the brotherly Palestinian people alongside the State of Israel, in accordance with international legitimacy and relevant resolutions. We believe that this is the only way to stop the cycle of violence and confrontations and enhance security and stability in the region. Today more than ever, the Palestinian people need a government of highly qualified experts that enjoys independence and full powers and works transparently to provide everything the Palestinian people deserve and need..

For its part, the UAE spared no effort in standing by the brotherly Palestinian people during their difficult ordeal, whether that was on the humanitarian level, or on the diplomatic level and international endeavour, or during our non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council, which adopted Resolution 2720 ( 2023), or in the General Assembly, which adopted a resolution by a majority of 143 votes on May 10, 2024, demanding full membership of the State of Palestine and granting it additional privileges in international meetings..

Regarding the Yemeni issue, we affirm our support for the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, and our support for the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in leading the coalition to support legitimacy and its efforts to reach a Yemeni political process to resolve the crisis in a way that achieves the interests of the Yemeni people. In light of the existing threat to the security of maritime navigation, we express the importance of confronting these threats that aim to undermine the freedom of international commercial navigation and maritime transport, and we stress the importance of the international community’s solidarity in preserving the security and freedom of legitimate maritime navigation, on the high seas and vital maritime straits, within the framework of laws and rules. International.

In Sudan, we support the efforts aimed at promoting peace, stopping the escalation, and ending the ongoing conflict, in order to stop the bloodshed and preserve the achievements that have been made for the sake of peaceful civil transformation in Sudan, in a way that enhances stability, meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people, and supports the factors of prosperity for Sudan, its neighbors, and its geographical surroundings..

While we honor the sacrifices of our martyrs, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Somalis in the hateful terrorist attack, to which they were subjected while performing their duty in training Somali forces, we stand in solidarity with the Somali federal government in its war against the terrorist Al-Shabaab movement, and we affirm our continued support for the Somali federal government in confronting terrorism and extending and securing its national sovereignty. This will achieve security, stability, territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence for Somalia, ensure non-interference in its internal affairs, and secure stability in the Horn of Africa by following peaceful solutions and diplomatic means to resolve any disputes between its countries..

Regarding the Libyan issue, we renew the call for a peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis, in a way that preserves the security, stability and unity of Libya, and achieves the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people towards development, stability and prosperity..

In Iraq, we affirm our solidarity with Iraq in facing the challenges it is going through, and we appreciate Iraq’s continuing efforts to restore its positive role in its broader Arab and regional environment. We look forward to a stable and prosperous Iraq, and we support everything that achieves its security, stability, territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence, and guarantees non-interference in its affairs. Combating extremism and terrorism on the one hand, and promoting the values ​​of tolerance, peaceful coexistence and moderation on the other hand, are fundamental features and deeply rooted in the approach and policy of the United Arab Emirates, and we continue to spread and strengthen them for the good of humanity, building prosperity and strengthening bonds of solidarity and coexistence at the regional and international levels..

The UAE is continuing its plans for comprehensive, sustainable and integrated economic and social development, and we are continuing to develop and diversify its capabilities and expertise, and maintain its investment attractiveness and international competitiveness, and its ability to attract businesses, ideas and talents..

Today, the UAE has become a global partner in the journey of building a future based on advanced technology, innovation and artificial intelligence, in line with its ambitious vision to achieve global advancement and leadership in these fields, as the UAE was chosen within the “Hiroshima Process Group for Artificial Intelligence” among a group of major countries involved.
