National export strategy
In the same regard, the Shura Council requested the Saudi Export-Import Bank – in coordination with the relevant authorities – to follow up on the necessary procedures to launch the national export strategy. The Shura Council also issued another decision during the session regarding what was included in the annual report of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University for the academic year 1444 AH, in which it called on the university to expand its strategic partnerships in a way that contributes to consolidating its institutional identity, improving the quality of its educational and research outputs, and attracting cadres to achieve the national strategy in the fields of science and technology. The Council called on the university to restructure its academic and research programs in a way that is commensurate with the comparative advantages of the university and its branches, and in a way that contributes to improving its outcomes.
The Council also called on the university to adopt and enhance quality and excellence practices to ensure achieving the university’s goals and programs, and obtaining full academic program accreditations.
In the same decision, the Council stressed that the university must develop its own revenue system by developing and diversifying its investments and endowments in a way that achieves efficiency and financial sustainability.
