Their Excellencies, the members of the Shura Council, extended their warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women.
The members stressed that the anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women is a station to remember the true launch of the stages of women’s empowerment and their attainment of many gains, and their moving beyond the stage of empowerment to the stage of progress, leadership and achievement, pointing out that the Supreme Council for Women has contributed to Bahraini women having balanced partnerships with men in developing and building the nation, to prove their effective role in the path of comprehensive development and economic, educational and social prosperity in the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Fadel: The national initiatives of the Supreme Council for Women were reflected in the indicators of women’s progress at the regional and international levels
Her Excellency Dr. Jihad Abdullah Al Fadhel, Second Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, affirmed the qualitative leap witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in terms of the advancement of Bahraini women within the framework of the support and enhancement of their status since the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women in 2001, through national initiatives that were reflected in the indicators of women’s advancement in all sectors and fields and at all levels, pointing to the important role played by the Supreme Council for Women in supporting and assisting Bahraini women to prove their ability to excel and give with merit and efficiency.
Dr. Al Fadhel praised the sound vision of the Supreme Council for Women, which is evident in the balance between empowering and advancing women politically and socially, while at the same time adhering to protecting their rights and preserving their gains related to the family, which is the basic component of the social fabric in all societies, noting that the Kingdom of Bahrain has become a model for women to be emulated worldwide in terms of their unique capabilities and competencies built on solid foundations that guarantee their continued development and effective political and social participation.
Al-Zaid: Continuous cooperation between the legislative authority and the Supreme Council for Women to continue building a national legislative base that achieves leadership and excellence for Bahraini women
Her Excellency, Attorney Dalal Jassim Al Zayed, Head of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee at the Shura Council, praised the pioneering achievements of the Supreme Council for Women during the reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, may God protect him, under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of the King, may God protect her, stressing the ongoing cooperation between the legislative authority and the Supreme Council for Women in order to build a national legislative base that supports women, supports and enhances their pioneering role in all social, economic and political fields, praising her happiness for the development and impact achieved at the level of the national legislation system related to women, which is considered the results of the continuous and integrated national efforts to provide a legislative framework that ensures the integration of women’s needs legislatively and executively for their progress and the sustainability of their gains.

Her Excellency Dr. Ebtisam Mohammed Saleh Al-Dallal, Head of the Services Committee at the Shura Council, stressed that what has been achieved for Bahraini women since the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women paves the way for them towards more giving, excellence and high status, noting that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s experience in preserving women’s rights and empowering them is considered a pioneering experience at the regional and international levels, indicating that the Supreme Council for Women remains the umbrella that supports issues that concern women, which has made the Kingdom of Bahrain a global model to be emulated in this regard.
Al-Dallal praised the renewed determination of the Supreme Council for Women to continue launching more joint initiatives, programs and plans, which are being worked on in direct coordination with the esteemed government and the legislative authority, indicating the Kingdom’s distinction in terms of the list of modern legislation that establishes the care, support, empowerment and advancement of women on an equal footing with their male counterparts in all fields.

Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Abdul Jabbar Al-Kooheji, Chairperson of the Women and Children’s Affairs Committee at the Shura Council, pointed out that celebrating the anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women is an opportune occasion to review and highlight the achievements made by Bahraini women thanks to the plans and strategies set by the Supreme Council for Women under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, which enabled women to prove themselves at all levels.
Dr. Al-Kooheji explained that the legislative authority shares with the Supreme Council for Women the national responsibility through reviewing and enacting legislation that guarantees the care, advancement and development of women, and enhancing their participation in decision-making, construction and development, explaining the growing interest of the legislative authority in participating in parliamentary conferences and international forums that discuss issues related to the rights of women and children.
Dr. Al Salman: The distinguished journey of giving of the Supreme Council for Women contributed to supporting the participation of Bahraini women in achieving the goals of comprehensive development
Her Excellency Dr. Jamila Mohammed Redha Al Salman, Deputy Chairperson of the Services Committee at the Shura Council, praised the distinguished national giving journey outlined by the Supreme Council for Women since its establishment in 2001 under the chairmanship of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect him, and the qualitative achievements made during these rich years that contributed to supporting the participation of Bahraini women in the comprehensive development process and achieving its goals.

Her Excellency Mrs. Ejlal Isa Bubshait, a member of the Shura Council, affirmed that the Supreme Council for Women has established solid foundations for working diligently, perseveringly and diligently so that Bahraini women can be a fundamental component and an effective partner in the comprehensive renaissance process witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty the King, may God protect and preserve him.
